SORBALGON Classic Calcium Alginate  – High-absorbency alginate wound dressing

The SORBALGON Classic is a soft calcium alginate wound dressing derived from natural seaweed fibres, available in 5cm x 5cm and 10cm x 10cm. It is designed for moderately to heavily exuding acute and chronic wounds including leg ulcers, pressure injuries, cavity wounds and post-operative wounds.

On contact with wound exudate, the calcium alginate fibres absorb fluid and convert to a soft, cohesive gel that maintains a moist wound-healing environment and facilitates autolytic debridement. The gel rinses away easily with saline at dressing change, reducing trauma to the wound bed. SORBALGON also has natural haemostatic properties.
